School Admissions

Nursery Admissions
At Holystone Primary School we decide our Nursery admissions and the Governing Body has agreed the Admission policy which is available below.
The Published Admission Number for our Nursery is 26 children in our morning session and 26 in our afternoon session.
Applications for nursery places should be made directly to school before the January preceding admission in September.  Application forms are available from the school office.  School staff will ask to see your child's original birth certificate and a recent utility bill (no more than three months old) when you return your form to the school office.  Please call at the office with these documents, do not send them by post.
Our Nursery Admissions policy which includes information regarding oversubscription/waiting lists can be found below.
School admissions - Reception to Year 6
North Tyneside Council is our admissions authority and sets the admissions policies for Holystone Primary School from Reception class onwards.
When your child reaches First/Primary school age you MUST make an application for your child to attend the Reception class.
Full details of North Tyneside's School Admission procedures for all school year groups, catchment area maps and our published admission number can be found here
In-Year admissions
In-Year admissions for Reception to Year 6 are applications to enter a year group that has already started at school.
Please call our school office on 0191 2007426 or use our contact page to enquire if places are currently available at Holystone.  You are required to complete an In-Year Application form, available from your child's current school.
Further information regarding admissions including the Essential Guide to schools booklet can be found on the North Tyneside Council website.
