Throughout the children's time in Reception they enjoy, discover and learn outdoors in all areas of the curriculum!

Sparkly Starter: Letter from a Superhero

WOW! We can't wait to become superheros and gain new powers! We are going to start learning our letter sounds so we can read and write. We will also practise counting and recognising our numbers.

At the end of this half term we learn all about pirates! We make treasure maps and then follow pirate clues by collecting sounds to make words. Will we be able to read the words so we can find the treasure?!

We end the year with a trip to Cullercoats Beach and a farewell picnic with the children, teachers and parents.
